It has been a pleasure and an honor to serve as the District 84 Director for the 2022-23 program year. Thank you for your encouragement, your support, and your enthusiasm!
My Toastmasters journey has been, and continues to be, a very important part of my life. I will be forever thankful for the day that I said “yes”, not only to joining Toastmasters, but to being a club officer, and then to taking on more leadership roles in the district. Being on the District Trio has been a wonderful experience for me, one which I will always treasure. District 84 has accomplished new and exciting things these last 3 years, recovering from the Pandemic has not been easy, nor has it been a fast process. We are still working to get back to where we were pre-Covid, and we are getting closer! As we continue to pave the way for our future leaders, we know that we are well on our way to success!
As a District Leader, you get to meet so many more of our District members, allowing so many more friendships to grow. As a District Leader, you get to know the inner workings of this amazing organization, expanding your Toastmaster knowledge way beyond anything you see in the club setting. And you get to meet and work with District Leaders from all around the world. If you are lucky enough, you may even get to meet them in person and share some time face to face with them! Getting a REAL hug from my new friends from across the globe brings a smile to my face and joy in my heart!
As the new Immediate Past District Director, I will continue my Toastmaster journey and will continue to be here for all of you, should you ever have any questions, need any advice, or just want to chat.
Thank you, again, for being part of this amazing journey! I encourage you to find your passion in Toastmasters, don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone, and you, too, will soar to new heights!
