Fred Bergeron advocates for the homeless after experiencing the hardships and realities of being homeless himself. Through his story he is passionate about inspiring others to tell their stories too. Fred is also well versed in leadership, presentation skills, photography, and videography.
When Fred is not busy inspiring others, he enjoys playing poker, cooking, and thinking of creative ways to improve his media business, 386 Studios. Fred earned an associate degree in liberal arts from Darton College and a bachelor’s degree in organizational leadership from LaGrange College at Albany. Fred was also in the Navy Seabees for 12 ½ years, following in his father’s footsteps, and remembers his favorite duty station was in Rota, Spain.
Fred has been a Toastmaster since August 2014, serving in numerous district leadership and chair positions, earning his Distinguished Toastmaster award the day after Valentine’s Day, 2018. He was named District 84’s Area Director of the Year for 2016/17, and as Division I Director in 2018, he was recognized for elevating a new division to President’s Distinguished during its inaugural year.
