You love your Toastmasters Club, so why not share the experience? Invite friends, coworkers, family members
…. EVERYONE to a club meeting! You do not have to sell them on Toastmasters.
Simply invite them to enjoy the meeting, to have a meal (if a meal is part of your
club meeting), to hear a special speaker and to have some fun. If you get them
to the meeting, your club members will “sell” them on joining!
Toastmasters International offers special incentives for adding FIVE NEW MEMBERS between
August 1 and September 30 and you can earn District Super Star Points for your
club as well. Wear your Toastmasters pin to work or around town and see if
there isn’t someone who asks you what it is. That’s the perfect ice-breaker opening for an invitation.
When is the last time you sported that “Ask MeAbout Toastmaster” pin?
That’s another way to pique someone’s curiosity. When you are recognized for
your confidence or improved skill, give Toastmasters some credit to encourage
others to benefit from your “learning laboratory” – that supportive
and positive learning environment that’s helped you achieve some of your goals.
