We are thrilled to announce that our first round of Train-the-Trainer (TTT) sessions was a huge success! Twenty-eight leaders completed the two-hour course, which focused on creating a safe and conducive learning environment tailored to today’s learners.
We know that training can be a daunting task, but it is also incredibly rewarding. When you help others learn and grow, you are creating ripple effects of productivity, influence and confidence.
This year, we shifted our focus from “us” to “them” – our learners. We spent time discussing the needs and preferences of today’s learners, as well as the basics of training, such as knowing and engaging your audience and facilitating based on the environment.
One of the highlights of this year’s TTT sessions was the introduction of a teach-back opportunity. Mid-session, the group broke into smaller groups to present, discuss and provide feedback. Many participants found this exercise to be insightful and enjoyable.
We received rave reviews from the participants, including comments such as “masterfully crafted session,” “rich with wisdom and knowledge” and “fun and engaging.”
We are confident that this experience has empowered all of us to recognize the relevance of facilitating learner-centric experiences during TLI and beyond. We thank all participants for their enthusiasm and engagement, and we extend a special note of gratitude to our Master Trainers: Edith Tiencken, Rachael Assignon, Rebecca McGilton, Marie Loeffler and Hector-Javier Rocafort.
If you are interested in attending a Train-the-Trainer session, stay tuned for upcoming opportunities this winter.
