Daytona Beach Toastmasters Celebrates Its 45th Anniversary
by Fred Bergeron, DTM
On August 1, 2023, Daytona Beach Toastmasters reached a historical milestone by celebrating
45 years as a club. And for the first time in a long time, not only did they
become a 2022-2023 President’s Distinguished Club, but they also completed 10
out of 10 goals in the Distinguished Club program and went from 9 members to 19
members in a year and a half—all without a club coach.
According to fellow Toastmaster Bob Palmer, “This dynamic club was sponsored by not
one, but TWO Toastmasters clubs: #1988 (now in New Zealand since 1990) and
Twilite #1669 (still going strong in Orlando).”
