Announcing The Trainers’ Academy
The Trainers’ Academy is a year-long project that will inspire
and empower existing and aspiring trainers to be the best facilitators they can be.
Through 12 educational sessions facilitated by Master Trainers
and industry experts, participants will learn the latest in adult learning
theory, presentation skills, instructional design, and evaluations. They will
also have the opportunity to deliver a training session at a District-sponsored event.
Graduates of the Trainers’ Academy will be prepared to effectively
deliver training sessions, whether they are leading Toastmasters clubs,
teaching classes, or presenting at conferences. They will also have a portfolio
of work that they can use to market their newly learned or enhanced skills.
If you are interested in becoming a more effective trainer, I
encourage you to apply for the Trainers’ Academy. Applications
are due August 4th and space is limited, so don’t delay!
